The comprehensive aviation straight-line length of this transmission line is 1783 kilometers, passing through five provinces: Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui, and Jiangsu. The Baihetan-Jiangsu ±800kV UHVDC Transmission Project starts at the Butuo Converter Station (Pioneer Site) in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province and ends at the Yushan Converter Station (Luojiabang Site) in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, with a transmission capacity of 8 million kilowatts and a transmission distance of about 2172 kilometers. The sending-end converter station is the Baihetan Converter Station (formerly Butuo Converter Station), and the receiving-end converter station is the Zhebei Converter Station.
