Winning bid converter station: Gezhouba Converter Station

The Gezhouba Converter Station is the sending-end station of China's first 500kV ultra-high voltage DC project, the ±500kV Gezhouba-Shanghai DC Transmission Project. The DC single-pole rated transmission capacity of the station is 600,000 kilowatts, and the double-pole rated transmission capacity is 1.16 million kilowatts. Since the operation of the project in 1989, as the operating years increase, some equipment in the station has aged and cannot meet the needs of safe operation, requiring renovation. Therefore, in November 2022, the Gezhouba Converter Station Technical Renovation Project was launched.
